Being from West Virginia originally, I’m a southern girl at heart. Even though I’ve been in Illinois for almost half my life now, I will always be a mountain mama!

I’m pretty sure I didn’t go to a fancy restaurant until I moved to Illinois. We just made everything at home and it was always THE BEST.

So, I thought I’d share one of my favorite recipes with you today that you are gonna love!

We made this recipe all throughout the year, but it was always a staple for the holidays. We never had a holiday meal that fluffy buttery biscuits didn’t come in a basket on the table.

This recipe is perfect for any occasion. From hosting a family gathering to a quick, weeknight meal, these 3-ingredient biscuits are quick, easy, and budget friendly! You may even want to eat the leftovers with breakfast!

Bisquick Biscuits Ingredients

  • Bisquick – You can’t go wrong with making these 3 ingredient biscuits with this main ingredient (you can also make your own Bisquick with my easy recipe!)
  • Sprite – Yes, you read that right. Sprite will make these homemade biscuits light and fluffy.
  • Sour Cream – Sour cream gives the biscuits flavor plus adds in fat.

How to Make 3-Ingredient Biscuits

1. Preheat the oven

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2. Add the ingredients

In a medium-sized bowl, stir together Bisquick, Sprite, and sour cream until just combined.

3. Knead the dough

Sprinkle the countertop with a little Bisquick. Add the dough to the counter and knead a little using your hands to the dough and pat the dough out to about 1/2 an inch thick.

Add additional Bisquick as needed to form a very soft dough that is just holding together.

4. Add to a skillet

Pour the melted butter into a cast iron skillet or an 8×8 baking dish.

5. Cut the biscuits

Cut the biscuits out with a biscuit cutter or the top of a small jar and place them in the pan of butter.

6. Bake

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.


TIPS

If your dough seems too sticky as you’re kneading, keep sprinkling with flour until it works out to the right consistency!
