Armored Core 6 Walkthrough - Chapter 3 | TeamBRG (2024)

AC6 Chapter 3 Walkthrough. Every mission, boss strategy, tips, gear upgrades, and more!

This is the Chapter 3 Walkthrough for AC6! This chapter is by far the longest one. BY FAR, haha. But, it's no less fun.

Missable Items in AC6? Will remind you in every chapter that you can't really miss items since you can replay missions. If there actually is one you can somehow miss, I will let you know when I find out.

If you're reading this Chapters walkthrough and the mission you need advice on isn't here, it may be an NG+/++ specific mission - so click on that.

SORTIE: Steal the Survery Data

The final gauntlet of this mission “Intercept the PCA enforcement Squad”, can be a little annoying. Kill as many chumps as you can until the warship comes and destroys the enemy AC.

IMMEDIATELY jump to the highest point of the map, that snowy cliff. You can isolate the flying AC's here so you'll only be fighting them, leaving the chumpy MT's down below unable to interact with you.

You can jump to the cliff again and kill the drones ASAP. After the drones jump ONTO the ship deck, and destroy the bridge ("command center") - the turrets are irreelvant.

Make use of that jumping platform and the snowy cliff - otherwise you'll be at a huge disadvantage.

SORTIE: Tunnel Sabotage

Basic mission up until the you destroy the thing within the shield. You take a little bit of damage over time while running away so remember to repair.

Notably, this IS NOT A DECISION MISSION in your first playthrough, but will BECOME one in NG+/++.

SORTIE: Eliminate V.VII

"Stealth" missions aren't my jam in an AC game but you know they're gonna sneak one in. What you do here is travel along the right-side wall. There’s a small lip you can get on and just “SNIPE” all the robots along the wall with your Laser Rifle. You can easily reach the first objective like this.

You’ve fought this mech in the Arena already, and this fight is much easier now that you can use Repair Kits. Just avoid the cannon when you hear the *beep beep*. Shouldn’t pose a threat no matter what your setup is.

SORTIE: Attack the Refueling Base

GEAR PREP: Make sure you have your machine guns at the ready! Use at least 1x at mission start.

This first checkpoint is FAR, and you fight a pretty decent AC along the way. Preserve your HP. This AC is annoyingly proficient, haha. 1x Machine Gun and 1x Sword seems to be a good way to quickly take him out. Shoulder weapons can be anything.

After that, it's a long journey until you have to fight the dual bosses.

-- How to beat the 2x PCA AC's

I don't know why, and some of my friends hate me for it - but most of the time I will go for the melee enemy first. Why? He actively goes towards you, not really avoiding attacks that well - so why not give him what he wants?

You don't need to "counter" the melee guy as he will DIE regardless your setup, so get a loadout that counters the ranged one. Machine guns, missiles, anything to get chip damage in - he's super fast and dodges A LOT.

If you, somehow, feel or like killing the ranged fast guy first - then go for it! I don't know why I just can't justify that strat, haha.

Arena: Rank C - get it done!

Always do Arena ASAP as the chips for OS Tuning are very valuable.

SORTIE: Heavy Missile Launch Support

You have to defend the three missile turrets, but you only need the MAIN one to survive to the end. Once the warship comes, wait for it to come close, jump on top of it and destroy the “co*ckpit”. Pretty basic all said and done.

SORTIE: Destroy the Special Forces Craft

DECISION: This mission gets CANCELLED OUT if you complete "Eliminate the Enforcement Squads".

A full frontal DPS race. It only takes damage in a small area from the front of the AC. Be patient and land your attacks face to face. I used a Shotgun, Sword, and 2x “10 missile launches” since it launches FORWARD. SONGBIRDS also work.

Thankfully there’s no mission - it’s a straight up BOSS so you can easily retry this and go to shop.

SORTIE: Eliminate the Enforcement Squads

DECISION: This mission gets CANCELLED OUT if you complete "Destroy the Special Forces Craft".

There’s no checkpoint here. Along the way you’ll fight a pair of AC’s (Mid-range airborne fighter types), and a HEAVY ENERGY HC with a shield. Melee goes a long way in solving both of these problems.

This mission is weirdly long, and sucks if you fail. The other option is much better once you've done this once, haha.

SORTIE: Survey the Uninhabited Floating City

Secret PART between the first and second fog generator. When you fight the agile flying MT, it's on top of one of the nearby buildings. Generator IA-C01G: AORTA

Helicopter Boss: MISSILES ARE USELESS AGAINST THIS GUY (pretty much - he has an anti missile chaff system). Use double SONGBIRDS, or any other non-missile shoulder weapon. As for your hand weapons, as long as you don’t use a sword it's fine. Any double guns work.

Once the Heli spawns, destroy all the snipers (there’s around 4 or 5?), then activate the defenses, then go to town on the Heli. SONGBIRD trivializes this.

SORTIE: Attack the Old Spaceport

GEAR PREP: You want an anti-mobile shoulder weapon setup. Double Split Missiles, or Double Homing Missiles. As for guns, you should have double MG's or double Shotguns already.

The second part is a little annoying. Slowly climb the tower while killing enemies, before attempting to destroy the flying warships. Patience is key here, climb to the TOP and destroy the support units before trying to jump over to the warship.

BOSS: Destroy the AC and High Mobility AC

Destroy the heavy melee AC first. It sounds suboptimal but trust me on this. Your setup doesnt matter for this melee AC since it actively wants to fight you. The high mobility AC is another story - it’s EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO HIT. The easiest way to win here is double shotguns (ZIMMERMAN), and something double split or homing missile.

Arena: Rank B - get it done!

Always do Arena ASAP as the chips for OS Tuning are very valuable.

SORTIE: Eliminate “Honest” Brute

Once you enter the narrow pathway and fall into the room with traps, there’s a treasure chest here containing: WB-0000 BAD COOK - a Flamethrower! Yay! From here, if you’re confused where to go - just keep worming your way down through the cracks.

“Honest” Brute / Milktooth is the same Flamethrower AC from the arena. It’s somehow stronger here, but not a big problem either way. The fire isn’t painful as long as you’re mobile. You have repair kits here too, unlike in Arena.

SORTIE: Historic Data Recovery

Basic mission. The blue markers are all you need to pass the mission, while the yellow data points are just for bonus money.

SORTIE: Defend the Old Spaceport

Here you fight a “familiar” AC. It’s a pretty basic fight versus a well-rounded mech. Be careful of the shoulder cannon! Dodge on the beep! It’s fast, so use the appropriate weaponry. I just relied on the good ‘ol double shotgun and double 10x missiles.

Your reward in this mission is the VE-60SNA Stun Needle Launcher. It's a special weapon for the CH3 boss, but is actually a godlike S-Tier weapon!

SORTIE: Destroy the Ice Worm

GEAR PREP: Make sure you have the VE-60SNA Stun Needle Launcher equipped. Also, you can choose to use a reverse leg - something like the SPRING CHICKEN (lol) so you can jump and fly easier. Quadropods can be legit too. Your other shoulder weapon should be SONGBIRDS, then equip a solid melee weapon and the JVLN Bazooka as your hand weapons.

-- How to beat the Ice Worm

You basically need to shoot the stun needle straight INTO ITS FACE. Rusty then shoots it with the rail gun to stagger the worm. When staggered GO TO TOWN on its exposed face.

Repeat this process a few times and the Ice Worm enrages. Just be patient and wait for the right moment to get the face shot. Overall, not very challenging but you just need some good patience and timing.

As long as you have extremely heavy weapons in your other shoulder, and both arms, you can greatly reduce the fight duration. Fighting the worm or even using any bullets that aren't part of this "face shot - rail gun - stagger" cycle is a complete waste.

Congratulations! You've made it to the end of Armored Core 6 - Chapter 3!
